Jannet Bodewes (pronounce Bo-Davis ), was born in 1966, as Janna Alagonda Maria de Vries.

She has been singing most her life; doing contests, singing at family-parties etc. She’s been active in the country-music  since 1999,   won the SCPO Award show in 2002 and the SCPO solo Award in 2006, but only recently (january 2011) made the decision to start a serious singing carreer.

Not long after she put some of her songs on the internet (that she had written and recorded in 2002) she got in touch with songwriter Vic Holdroyd (UK) and songwriter/ recordproducer Lonnie Ratliff ( Nashville) and they provided her with some great songs and Jannet was able to release her first CD, simply called -Here I am-

In august 2011 she won the Country Music Euro Masters, held in Teutschenthal, Germany and when she got back home, Lonnie Ratliff offered her a record deal with his company Westwood International Records.

In April 2012 she won an awardin Blackpool (GB) for her Tammy Wynette tribute act and in Oct 2012, again she won the Country Music Euro Masters, this time held in Kalkar, Germany.

Her first album for Westwood Int. Rec. “Hank & Patsy’s Ghost” was released summer 2013!!

Jannet & her band have since then been playing the stages in Germany, Netherlands and Denmark mostly.
